Tarot is an ancient art from of divination that has been used and refined for ages. Its purpose is to give guidance through universal symbols that Spirit has come to recognize and represent over time and use. Some forms also use symbols personal to the reader and it works the same, the mind’s intent of question pulls the correct symbols to do the reading and Spirit recognizes these in the same manner. It is not meant to be an indefinite guide to truth and the symbols in it represent a general meaning and may represent a specific meaning to each individual reader, however it is not complete or a substitute for anything, i.e., personal decisions, professional advice, etc. When taken in the correct manner it can help spiritual and emotional growth by using these universal symbols and their connection to the human mind, emotion, and spirit, revealing the deeper things and helping us look “beyond the veil” of this world into the spiritual world where abides the soul. It can also convey messages from Spirit to the physical world and convey facts about the individual receiving the reading though the projections of their mind energy or spirit within them.
As in all divination, the reader may see specific things pertaining to the individual and often times they are judged harshly if those things are wrong or doesn’t “fit” at the moment of the reading. The key here is how the reader interprets the symbols presented and any reader who claims to be correct all the time is not telling the truth or doesn’t know the truth about the ability/gift itself. Don’t trust one who says they’re always right. In all divination, the key is being forewarned is being forearmed and the current reading is based on the current energy patterns, living patterns, action patterns, mind patterns or other in the life of the one receiving the reading. Keep in mind, as one receiving the reading, that the reader is not always right and also that you may not be aware of something that is in your own energy or mind patterns that the reader can see but you have not yet. Discernment is important with both parties here. Daily things are subject to change from one day to the next. Tomorrow is not yesterday and the unlimited dimensions around us all interact and change with the changes we make in the physical world as our thought patterns or actions change. The reader may not have been wrong at the time but in a hour the one who received the reading may have changed something in their lives or thought patterns and therefore changed the outcome of the situation. We are all in a state of constant change as are the energies that are around us and interact with us and respond to us.
When a specific prediction is made it is then placed within the consciousness of the one receiving the prediction then that automatically changes something with the energy flow because what was once in the darkness of the subconscious energies around the individual has been brought into the light and that, sometimes, changes the circumstances from what was not known to the known and the outcome immediately changes due to the universal laws of interaction. The reading itself is interaction. Other times it does not. It all depends on the individual and how much spiritual thought is given to the reading and confidence in the reader themselves that the one receiving the reading has for that particular reader.
Tarot is not the only form of Divination techniques but it is one that a lot of psychics use. Tarot cards are a tool to help the reader interpret the surrounding energies that they are picking up around a person. It is nothing more than a tool. It’s the reader that puts the real meaning and vision behind the reading, not the cards. Objects in and of themselves have no spiritual or life insight to offer. Energy, other people, psychic abilities, spirit, etc., does have that insight to offer if we choose to listen.
The first tarot cards themselves were intended to be a game as any other card deck. As a matter of fact, I know people who can read playing cards. I tried this technique but since my mind understands symbols more than numbers I didn’t find the normal playing cards accurate for me personally and I chose a set of tarot decks that did bring meaning to me and enhance my interpretation of the reading I was conducting.
It takes practice to enhance and refine psychic abilities and a lot of keeping journals and other methods of what your senses are giving you to even understand what is being shown to you. It is a natural inherent ability in us all but stronger in some than in others. Those who take it to the next level and expand their understanding and knowledge about how this ability works will fine tune the ability and be more accurate. The symbols are universal and that takes study to learn but once you learn those you may realize you knew what they meant all along but was not conscious of the knowledge. It’s all from a natural source. That’s why so many symbols and tarot decks are made and all are accurate to the reader. That, too, is why other forms of divination, i.e., crystal balls, bowls of water, candles, fire, mirrors, tea leaves, runes, and all other forms of divination work just as well. It’s all in the interpretation of the reader, not the tool. The reader makes or breaks the accuracy of the reading, not the deck of cards.
In every tarot deck universal meanings are assigned to each card and these are also accurate. With use and time the meanings of the symbols grow with the energy that is produced. However, a card’s “normal” or “assigned” meaning may not be the actual meaning for the person at any one time. Experience only can sort these things out for the reader.
I’ve been doing readings for a long, long time and over the years it has become easier not because I’ve learned the cards more, although that is part of the reason, but because I’ve learned what the symbols mean to me and how my ability works for me. It’s different for every reader. For the receiver of the reading this is important to keep in mind.
Blessed Be!
